My name is Melissa Garza and I am seeking financial and equipment contributions for my Chapman University MFA thesis film Captured Melody. For the past two years, I have worked in the VFX industry on such projects as Tron Legacy, Avatar, Night at the Museum 2, and various other multimedia theme park attractions.

This 23 minute film will be shot in stereoscopic 3D and utilize motion capture technology to bring the story to life.   The project not only has a film with a message, but it also has a strong franchise component that includes apparel, a children’s book, toys, posters and games.  This sets it apart from most student productions. 

Captured Melody will be a brand name that provides impact and entertainment on an educational level to young girls.  It will inspire them to be confident with whom they are inside and make better choices in love relationships as they grow up to become adults.
